Mayweather Not Concerned With Paul’s Size or Weight, Says Fanmio CEO

Five division world champion Floyd Mayweather, 43-years-old, had zero concerns about the size and weight advantage of 25-year-old Youtube star Logan Paul, according to Fanmio CEO and Founder Solomon Engel.

Mayweather retired from the sport in August 2017 with a perfect record of 50-0, after stopping UFC star Conor McGregor in ten rounds at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Mayweather came back to the ring for an exhibition fight in December 2018, as he traveled to Japan and blew away kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in one round.

On February 20th, Mayweather will face Paul in an exhibition clash on pay-per-view.

Engel’s company is financially backing the entire event.

Paul, who has a massive following on social media, made his pro debut in 2019, and lost a controversial split decision to Youtube rival KSI.

While facing a tremendous gap in skill and experience, Paul is much taller at 6’2 and likely holds a 50-pound weight advantage.

Mayweather, who stands at 5’8 and fought no higher than 154-pounds, is not concerned about a physical disadvantage.

“Floyd had no reaction to his size or weight. He had no concern or worry about Logan’s size in this fight,” Engel said to The Daily Star.

“Logan was the first real opponent that we said let’s explore. We have a lot of talk about different things for the future, but initially this one was what was proposed.”

Engel is also confident the event will break pay-per-view records.

He claims the early sales of the event have been strong.

“We do see it breaking the record. We have projections which I don’t want to comment on but we do see it breaking the record,” Engel continued.

“I can tell you we are very bullish on beating that number and possibly by a long shot. We have already sold a great deal of PPVs, which is kind of unheard of early on. We are already seeing success in that area and between who the two fighters, between how we handle distribution we do see it breaking the record.”
