UFC president Dana White has lashed out at Youtube star Jake Paul, who in recent weeks issued numerous challenges to various MMA fighters.
Paul is 2-0 with 2 knockouts as a boxer – and recently called out MMA fighters like UFC superstar Conor McGregor to face him in a boxing match.
Some of his trash talk antics have rubbed a lot of fighters the wrong way.
Several boxers and mixed martial artists are eager to get Paul in the ring – including UFC champion Amanda Nunes.
Nunes believes that she would wipe the floor with Paul – even in boxing.
In a recent interview, Paul made it clear that Nunes was a “waste of time. No one knows who she is.”
After watching Paul’s interview, White erupted in his direction.
“Amanda Nunes will knock that kid out. To even think about that guy fighting, he’s like, ‘I’m never going to fight a woman’. You shouldn’t. You shouldn’t because she’ll put you in a coma. That guy is just some kid off the street. One of the big problems with him right now, he’s lucky there’s a pandemic,” White told the ‘SHOUT!’ Buffalo podcast.
“He’s talking smack about real people – real people that he could run into at a restaurant some night and things like that. This isn’t a real guy. This is just some kid on YouTube.”
White is not impressed with Paul’s boxing abilities or the abilities of his brother Logan Paul, who faces Floyd Mayweather in a pay-per-view exhibition fight on February 20th.
“The answer to that question is, who gives a f—? Neither one of those guys can fight. It’s all a big gimmick. If people are dumb enough to spend their money watching that sh-t, I don’t know what to tell you. Good luck to them. I (couldn’t) care less what that guy (does). I get it. He’s trying to make some money and is doing his thing. There are people who want to spend money on that. I’m not that guy,” White said.
